Marslaidh Smith BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon Marslaidh, qualified from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh in 1994 and has worked in practice ever since.
She joined Riverside Veterinary Clinic in July 2007 and became the proud owner of Riverside Veterinary Clinic when Jim Ford retired. She has gained a wealth of experience in the small animal medicine and surgery having worked in busy, large, multi-vet practices before coming to work at Riverside.
It is her wish to provide you and your pet the highest quality of care and attention she can.
Graham Leathers BVM&S MRCVS
Veterinary Surgeon
Graham, qualified from the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, University of Edinburgh in 1996. He worked at a practice in Antrim, Northern Ireland for 2 years before working for 12 years in a large multi-vet practice in Central Scotland which has a higher than normal proportion of exotic work. By exotic we mean rabbits, guniea pigs, ferrets and so on.
So as well as having an extensive knowledge of cat and dog medicine and surgery, he has a deeper knowledge of exotic than you would expect. He joined Riverside Veterinary Clinic in April 2011 and he is looking forward to getting to know and help you and your pet.
Fiona Easton (Nurse and Practice Manager)
Fiona graduated from Stirling University with a degree in History. However, after she enjoyed work experience in Veterinary Practice when she was at school, she decided that this was the job for her after graduating.
She has now gained over 17 years of experience in both animal care and the day to day running of the practice. At times she has her receptionist hat on. At other times she has her nurses hat on and sometimes practice manager's hat on, but most of the time she has all 3 on at the same time.
Shirley Macallum (Nurse & Receptionist)
Shirley will be well known to many of the animal owners in the Stirling area as she has worked in the SSPCA rehoming shelter in Cambuskenneth in Stirling for fifteen years right up until it was closed down.
She joined Riverside Veterinary Clinic in 2006 and has brought this substantial body of knowledge and skill in the husbandry and nursing requirement of a wide variety of animals with her.
.
Ann Simpson (Nurse & Receptionist)
Ann joined Riverside to cover maternity leave and has remained with us ever since. She has been surrounded with animals all her life in a variety of shapes and form, providing her with a solid background of knowledge in animal care, on which she has built since joining the practice.
Having spent many years as a client, she is very aware of your need when you bring your cherished member of the family to the vet.
Her views have helped us at Riverside to develop practice policies with you, the client, in mind.
